SUMMARY:Sociocracy 3.0 Introduction Course - Järna\, Sweden
DESCRIPTION:The challenge before us \nComplex and fast changing environments are outpacing the capacity of organisations\, communities\, and networks to adapt and evolve. Despite innovative alternatives for improved decision making and governance processes existing\, a lack of adequate knowledge\, understanding\, and skills often leave groups frustrated. And without viable alternatives groups frequently find themselves falling back onto more conventional\, yet ineffective methods. \nWhy Sociocracy 3.0 (S3) \nS3 offers a reliable framework of patterns and principles to support the evolution of all aspects of management and governance. S3 is applicable to projects and organisation of any size. \nS3 enables: More conscious and effective decision making\, facilitates co-creativity\, fosters transparency\, and taps into collective intelligence\, and increases the agility of the project – all while guaranteeing equivalence of all participants. S3 is an invitation to bring a greater awareness to what underlies our motivation to act in each moment. \nWho is this workshop for? \nThis workshop is particularly suited to social enterprises\, non-profits\, innovative startups\, cooperatives\, communities as well as other projects and private individuals. \nLearning outcomes \n\nDiscover what Sociocracy 3.0 is and how it feels to work with through experienced facilitation.\nEvolve strategy for identifying and successfully pulling S3 patterns into your organization.\nPractice skills you can apply within your groups\, organisations\, relationships\, and enterprises.\nLearn how to use disagreements as resources to shape smarter strategies\n\nAbout the workshop journey \nOur journey together will be a deep exploration of the basic S3 principles\, patterns\, and processes. The design of the training supports the capacity for attendees to start implementing what they have learned immediately.\nS3 is scalable to all contexts\,you will learn to upgrade and adapt it according to your real needs and experiences.\nPractices\, scenario training\, basic facilitation training\, and real-world examples from existing cases of implementation will be the main approaches – this will leave you with a ‘well-rounded’ understanding of the framework and its applications. \nThe learning environment will consist of teaching sessions\, presentations\, small and whole group exercises\, individual work\, and real scenario simulations. \nBuilding capacity to use and implement S3 on a basic level is the main teaching outcome for this training. As such spaces for in depth discussion on the theory and philosophy being sociocratic methods\, or for comparing S3 to similar methods have not been built into the schedule and will be kept to a minimum. \nMore about Sociocracy and Sociocracy 3.0 \nSociocracy\, which means “governance by peers or colleagues“\, is an increasingly popular system design\, and governance and decision-making method based on the principles of transparency\, equivalence\, and effectiveness. It transforms organisations culturally and structurally\, enabling individuals to act as sensors to feed into the collective – leading the evolution of an organisation\, fulfilling team members with impressive results. \nSociocracy 3.0 builds on The Sociocratic Method and integrates principles from Holacracy Ⓡ and Non-Violent Communication\, Agile\, Lean and other sources. \nS3 achieves the following: \n\nUtilises people as living sensors that pick up changes and respond promptly by creating strategies to satisfy organisational needs as they arise.\nMeets organisations where they are and supports them in continuously improving work and services through an iterative approach\, and at their own pace.\nHelps organisations make the best use of talent already present\, and enables them to grow structures for effective collaboration.\n\nSociocracy 3.0 has been applied worldwide in corporations\, small businesses\, non-profits and non-governmental organisations\, grassroots movements\, nursing homes\, colleges\, eco-villages and co-housing communities\, religious organisations\, private and public schools\, refugee camps\, Agile/Lean teams and international professional and educational membership organisations. \nCourse language \nThe course will be held in English. \nPrice\, Discounts and Registration \n\nThe price for the 4 day non-residential introduction is 5’600SEK\nThere is a 20% Super Early Bird available until end of 4th October\nand a 10% Early Bird available until end of 18th October\nWe have group discounts of 10% available for those joining with other members team or organisation\n\nDiscounts accumulate \nIf you are fully committed to attending and have good reasons to be there\, however your financial situation doesn’t allow it\, please take this opportunity to get in touch with us. \nTo book your place and secure one of the discounted prices\, please email veralfranco[at]gmail.com and pay a 1500 SEK NON-REFUNDABLE but transferable* deposit before the stated deadlines. \n*If you decide you are no longer able to attend\, you will need to find someone else to attend in your place\, transferring your deposit to them. \nPlace & Time \nGula Villan (Yellow Villa) Turingevägen 9\, 153 36 Järna\, Södertälje Municipality\, Sweden.\nNon-residential course.\nThursday to Sunday 16th – 19th November 2017. \nThe facilitators \nAndrei Iuroaia – See more here. \n \nJake Jay-Lewin – See more here.

Whilst its roots are planted firmly in the theory of how children learn\, Think Like Nature puts the learner at the heart of their learning experience. From this fundamental platform\, we want to offer youth workers and subsequently children and young people the opportunity to engage with the rich natural diversity of the woodland environment to help build confidence\, sensitivity\, resilience and curiosity. We believe in the holistic learning process that aims to raise self-awareness and self-esteem in participants. As a result\, sessions will take place in a woodland environment\, where the landscape itself adds to the experience of learning. An outdoor element offers leadership and team problem solving challenges that allow to practice new behaviors in a supportive collaborative environment. \nThe ultimate goal of this project is to equip and inspire youth workers and youth leaders\, educators\, partners and other involved parties (especially communities) with a set of innovative methods and tools as part of the “Think Like Nature” framework\, so that to develop competences\, enhance work with target groups and further spread the non-formal methods. We want to deconstruct\, reconstruct and test with the participants the framework\, which is based on non-formal nature- and community- inclusive methods. This project is practical\, based on real problems and needs\, offering competences and skills that are applicable and transferable in participant’s personal life and work with youth. \nOBJECTIVES \n\nRaise the awareness of youth workers on the influence and importance of nature and outdoor activities as part of the education.\nPromote a non-formal nature-inclusive education as an important way to grow emotional and social intelligence\, leading to self-development and stronger community sense.\nEquip participants with the new concepts\, innovative tools and methods of “Think Like Nature” framework\nFacilitate discussions and activities to find out together methods\, actions and events\, which can boost youth’s self-awareness\, self-esteem\, self-development and consequently community development with the help of nature.\nEmpower youth workers and leaders to learn\, share and be able to teach others on “forest school” methodologies. We expect participants to apply the learned methodologies\, both theoretically and practically\, in their communities at home.\nDevelop participants’ competences and skills in learning systems of collaborative consumption\, co-distribution\, co-working\, co-sharing and accompany them with practical examples when and where they can be used.\nCreate a collaborative environment\, where “Think Like Nature” framework will be both extensively discussed by participants\, but also new projects to further deepen\, develop or extend the topic be developed during and after the project.\nEngage with a educational project in deep connection with nature. SUMMARY:Introduction in Sociocracy 3.0 - Hamburg
DESCRIPTION:The challenge before us \nComplex and fast changing environments are outpacing the capacity of organizations\, communities and networks to adapt. Despite innovative alternatives for improving decision making and governance processes\, a lack of adequate knowledge\, understanding and skills can leave groups frustrated and falling back onto more conventional\, yet ineffective ways to try and cope. \nWe all recognize the need for change \nWe want to be sure that investing precious time into learning new ways of doing things will give us practical skills and methods we can confidently use. \nWe are called to develop alternative solutions for addressing old problems\, and to assume a new perspective that honors our individual needs while addressing the urgency for more integrated and interdependent human organization. \nSociocracy 3.0 – a social technology for our time \nSociocracy 3.0 offers a reliable framework to tap collective intelligence in order for us to make more conscious and effective decisions together. It facilitates co-creativity\, fosters transparency and guarantees the equivalence of all participants. \nSociocracy acts as “social technology” for unlocking ownership\, engagement and a sense of purpose while promoting respect\, diversity and inclusion. \nIt’s an invitation to bring greater awareness to the underlying things that motivate us to act. \nWho is this workshop for? \nThis course is an opportunity for joining a community of practitioners\, experiencing seasoned facilitators and receiving support in designing sociocracy implementation plans for your organization. \nThis workshop is particularly suited to Entrepreneurs and Organizations that promote solutions and models based on Ecological and Social well-being. \nDuring the workshop you will: \n\nDiscover what Sociocracy 3.0 is and why it helps organizations to become more sustainable\, resilient and elegant.\nKnow how sociocracy’s core methodology and principles unleash potential and support system wide optimization.\nDevelop skills you can apply within your groups\, organizations and enterprises.\nLearn methods to facilitate collaborative processes\, draw on the collective intelligence of groups\, and guarantee the potential for equivalence in decision making.\nDevelop a “solutions focus” and explore the creative opportunities lying buried at the heart of seemingly challenging situations.\n\nAbout the workshop journey \nOur journey together will focus mainly on a deep exploration of Sociocracy 3.0 principles and processes and will consist of a balanced program with a combination of theory\, practice and reflection. \nMore about Sociocracy and Sociocracy 3.0 \nSociocracy\, which means “governance by peers or colleagues“\, is an increasingly popular system design\, governance and decision-making method based on the principles of transparency\, equivalence\, and effectiveness. It transforms organizations culturally and structurally\, enabling collective intelligence to lead the evolution of an organization\, fulfilling team members while creating impressive results. \nSociocracy 3.0 builds on The Sociocratic Method and integrates principles from Holacracy and Non-Violent Communication. \nIt: Utilises people as living sensors that pick up changes and respond promptly by creating strategies to satisfy organizational needs as they arise.\nMeets organizations where they are and supports them in continuously improving work and services through a painless and iterative approach\, and at their own pace.\nHelps organizations make the best use of talent already present\, and enables them to grow structures for effective collaboration. \nSociocracy 3.0 has been applied worldwide in corporations\, small businesses\, non-profits and non-governmental organizations\, grassroots movements\, nursing homes\, colleges\, eco-villages and co-housing communities\, religious organizations\, private schools\, Agile/Lean teams and international professional and educational membership organizations. \nCourse language \nThe course will be held in English. SUMMARY:Introduction in Sociocracy 3.0 - Luxembourg
DESCRIPTION:The challenge before us \nComplex and fast changing environments are outpacing the capacity of organizations\, communities and networks to adapt.
